Lewistown Valley Enterprises, dba. Koch's Turkey Farm, is a vertically integrated, family-owned poultry production and processing facility and is a leader in the All Natural, Antibiotic Free, and Organic Poultry industry.

Founded in 1939, "Koch’s" is in its fourth generation of family management and is a sound, rapidly growing poultry business. Our facility in the Lewistown Valley has increased capacity and production in recent years and, although the traditional whole bird remains a steadfast foundation, our products have far broadened over the years. Through this we have expanded our customer base across the country serving customers such as Whole Foods, Wegmans and several other national companies.

We are looking for a motivated driver to serve our facility as a yard jockey.

The typical day for our yard jockey driver requires operation of a manual transmission tractor/truck.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer truck (w/ manual transmission)
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading.
• Coordinates with shipping, receiving and production team regarding workload requirements.
• Moves trailers as needed within the yard to facilitate loading and unloading. Shuttles trailers on site only based on business needs
• Performs routine inspection of yard tractor, including safety checks and fueling, adhering to applicable regulations and procedures. Reports all maintenance and safety issues to supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License (Class C) is required
• Valid Pennsylvania CDL Class A is a PLUS (this position will operate on company property only and will not enter public roads)
• No recent moving or driving violations; MVR will be conducted
• Ability to work between the hours of 6AM and 4PM (exact 8 hour shift may vary)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
