Koch Business Solutions is Hiring a Sheet Metal Programmer Near Tulsa, OK

Your Job

At John Zink, we are currently seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing CAD/CAM nesting software to generate machine code for cutting various sheet metal components. Your primary goal will be to optimize material utilization and ensure efficient production processes.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize CAD/CAM nesting software to create machine code for cutting sheet metal components.
  • Drive maximum material utilization to minimize waste.
  • Generate job packets for the shop, ensuring clear instructions for production.
  • Collaborate with the shop and scheduling teams to meet production needs.
  • Provide feedback to design teams to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Validate the availability of materials on-hand for production.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine cutting errors, if necessary.
  • Adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A minimum of one year experience in sheet metal programming.
  • Basic computer skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Proficiency in using Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Experience creating machine code for Laser, Plasma, and/or Punching machines.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM nesting software.
  • Previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
