Purpose:
The Translator will, in an effort to facilitate communication at KAAP, provide timely and accurate translation of documents from both Japanese and English as well as accurate interpreting in various contexts such as one on one informal meetings, production floor interactions, internal meetings and meetings with customers and vendors. In addition, the Translator will control and maintain records for all translation/interpretation requests in internal databases. The Translator will also provide backup for expatriate support responsibilities, such as community interpreting, on-boarding/off-boarding, as well as assisting with living and travel arrangements for the company’s Japanese expats.
