Overivew Entry level opportunity reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), the Project Assistant will be responsible for organizing, tracking, facilitating, and reporting on Portfolio Management Initiatives and Projects. The Project Assistant provides liaison between the CIO, the portfolio management and research staff, key executives, department managers, and employees. The Project Assistant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to organize and report on multiple priorities. The Project Assistant must be flexible and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively on a wide variety of activities.Responsibilities• Prepare project and initiative status update reports, including projected timelines for completion. Document and coordinate project activities for the duration of each project.• Communicate project information to portfolio management team, relevant department heads, executive management, and other key stakeholders.• Review project milestones and checkpoints with relevant staff and escalate issues/risks appropriately.• Prepare, deliver, and archive routine reports for CIO review.• Maintain a thorough understanding of the firm’s products and services, including a working knowledge of the organizational structure and function of company departments and staff.• Maintain and update job knowledge by participating in relevant educational opportunities and reading professional publications.• Provide support to CIO for staff coordination and supervision• Organize and maintain files.
