Knit-Rite has an immediate opening in Kansas City, KS for a Quality Inspector! Knit-Rite is growing and our Quality Technician II will be an essential partner to support our strategic plans and our people!

What You’ll Get To Do

Our Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspection of products including incoming inspections, in-process, and final goods/release for distribution. The inspection is to ensure Products meet Design Specifications and intended use and conforms to all applicable regulatory requirements, to include FDA 21CFR 820 and ISO 13485 Directives.

The Essentials

  • Inspection of Finished Goods to ensure product conformity.
  • Inspection of Labeling and Barcoding for accuracy and legibility to ensure conformity.
  • Reviewing DHR’s for accuracy and completion and GMP requirements.
  • Documentation of inspection results and determining disposition.
  • Executing approval and final release of Product.
  • Responsible for initiating NCRs for nonconforming Products found during the inspection processes
  • Ensure Nonconforming Products are segregated and placed in hold area or rework station(s).
  • Maintain records and files of inspections as required.
  • Scanning of DHR’s into the Quality Drive.
  • Responsible for maintaining department equipment and requesting consumables as needed.
  • Perform incoming inspection on raw materials as required.
  • Working with production, expedite backorders and special orders at Final Inspection
  • Actively participates in cross training within the Quality department to gain proficiency in all testing areas.
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance department as a team.
  • Participates in department Quality meetings, and continuous improvement programs within the department.
  • Participates in achieving department goals.
  • Perform in-process inspection of product to identify non-conforming product during the manufacturing process. Communicate machine stoppages and quality issues found to appropriate personnel.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 to 2 years Quality experience preferred and/or related field or working within a medical device manufacturing facility preferred
  • Familiarity with Medical Device regulations and standards (21CFR820, and ISO 13485) preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of departments regarding quality testing parameters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel, strongly preferred
