Description

The Skid Steer Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a skid steer to move forms and castings around our yard. This position also provides support for the loading and shipping departments.

• Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with company environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Safely operate a skid steer to unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Safely operate a skid steer to locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as forklift / skid steer operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• High school diploma

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, and reach.
• Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders.
• Ability to work primarily outside, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
