Job Summary:
Knife River - Casper Division is accepting applications for qualified/experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for our construction services operations. This is a full time position located in Casper, Wyoming. The normal work week is Monday - Friday and Saturdays as needed to maintain schedule totaling 50 to 60 hours per week. We are looking for individuals to operate the following equipment: motor grader, excavator, scraper, dozer, loader, roller, and backhoe.
1.Applicants shall demonstrate the ability to safely and productively operate different types of equipment in various construction operations including excavating and pipe installation, mass grading, finish grading and prep work, and asphalt paving.
2.Persons shall be able to work safely and follow all company policies.
3.Persons shall be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
4.Operators shall have the ability to conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must also possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a qualifying driving record under company policy. Applicant must successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug test and physical. Applicant must have at least 3 years of experience. Ability to operate different types of equipment is a plus. Experience with grade control systems including Topcon is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
Job requires steady to intermittent and repetitive physical activity including: standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, raking, etc... Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions.
