The Medford operation is hiring a Contract Administrator to provide administrative support of a complex nature to the Contracting department. The Contract Administrator is the liaison between the accounting and contracting departments and will require independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize the workload. Major Responsibilities Include: -Perform all contract administrative duties at the direction of the Contract Administration Manager. -Assist with preparation of subcontract documents and submission. -Order bid bonds and insurance certificates. -Maintain vendor databases. -Assist with billing, collections and job cost inquiries. -Provide support to other division operations to ensure timely receipt of required documents. -Provide necessary customer service to various federal & state agencies, customers and vendors. -Respond to inquiries & questions regarding prevailing wage issues, EEO responsibilities, certified payroll and project administration. -Assist with month end close and WIP process. -Perform other duties as assigned. | |||
Minimum Qualifications: | |||
-Skilled with Excel. -Proficient with standard Microsoft Office applications. -Mathematical competence and knowledge of basic accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, P/R and G/L. -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. -Work well under pressure and within tight deadlines to ensure deadlines are met. -Flexibility with schedule to work overtime in the summer months and during month-end close. -Experience with JD Edwards accounting software helpful but not required. -Four years of experience in contract administration for materials/heavy-highway construction company or equivalent administrative experience, preferred. | |||
