Summary of Position: 

As a Production Associate at 2M Resources Corp., you will play a critical role in the efficient operation of our glass recycling facility. You will work with a team on the glass recycling process and contribute to the attainment of recycling targets while upholding the company’s commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Follows direction of the Team Lead and Manager in safe operation of equipment in the production of recycled material.
• Communicates with Team Lead and Maintenance regarding any equipment problems or equipment that may need preventative maintenance or repair work performed to ensure safety and maximum operating efficiency.
• Knows all safety warning signs and signals and takes corrective action.
• Remains current on plant and safety matters, participating regularly in plant safety meetings.
• Participates in continuous improvement efforts in regard to product quality, environmental, health, and safety.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
• Proficient in English (reading and writing).
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass all requirements to operate a forklift.
• Listening skills
• Time management skills
