Job Description Summary

Employee is responsible for physically and electronically transferring inventory from one location in the warehouse to another.

They must be able to drive a hi lo (sit down & stand up) & maintain a hi lo license, this position uses computers throughout the day to make inventory transactions as they pick orders.

Processing orders entails a lot of walking, riding & driving of a hi lo, the employee goes from location to location walking or on a hi lo & manually pulls product out from the racks anywhere from ground level to approximately 80 high at weights ranging from 1 lb to 50 lbs with the employee required to ask for help with anything heavier than 50 lbs.

They also use a barcode scanner repetitively through-out the day.

The duties and responsibilities of the Material Handler will consist of, but are not limited to, the following :

• Picking orders for shipment
• Labeling Shipments
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Replenishing Inventories
• Conducting inventory transactions on RF units with accuracy
• Using standing Hi-lo or Picker
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Work Experience : 2 Years of Shipping / Receiving, Hi-Lo or related experience
• Education : High school diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Organization Skills : Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
• Cross-functional skills : Ability to work with other team members on the production floor
• Communication Skills : Ability to communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization; Good verbal and written communication
• Physical, Mental and Visual Skills : Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Standing along with repeated movement of bending and lifting of parts.
• Physical Environment : Manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements :

• Certification : Hi-Lo Certification
• Computer Skills : RIF Scanners and Oracle Experience
