Senior Benefits Manager

Weidmann is seeking a Senior Benefits Manager, to be based in the St. Johnsbury, VT office with hybrid flexibility. The SeniorBenefits Manager is responsible for benefits administration, plan design, wellness initiatives, and internal procedural and governmental compliance.

Requirements of the Senior Benefits Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CEBS and SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience as benefits manager or related role.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations, benefits, leave and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Excellent communication, strong professional demeanor, and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
Benefits of the Job:
  • Annual pay in the range of 100-120K

Responsibilities of the Senior Benefits Manager:
  • Partner with HR leadership team to align Benefit and Total Rewards strategy.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of current legislation as well as compliance to state and federal regulations.
  • Select, implement, administer, and maintain employee benefits programs, policies and procedures that meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Evaluate performance of benefits programs with the goal of creating an attractive, competitive, and cost-effective benefits program.
  • Monitor claims to evaluate TPA and vendor performance, spot trends, prepare reports.
  • Regularly renegotiates or re-evaluate vendors in search of opportunities for cost savings.
