Spinnaker Trust is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management and Trading, to be based in the Portland office. 

Requirements of the Director of Portfolio Management and Trading:

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field 
• Experience in Portfolio Management and Asset Allocation 
• Equity and Fixed Income Trading Experience 
• Extensive experience in Portfolio Management software, preferably in Tamarac and Black Diamond 
• Comprehensive computer skills, to include MS Office suite, and Dynamics 365 
• Experience in managing a team of professionals

• Annual salary of $125k and up, dependent upon experience

• Manage Portfolio Managers and Assistant Portfolio Managers, including providing training on systems, procedures and best practices 
• Act as a liaison between firm and firm’s trading partners, bond brokers, etc. for best execution 
• Master and maintain trading and portfolio management software ensuring the team is using tools to fullest potential 
• Expert on the positioning of each of the firm’s investment strategies and products; work with Investment Team on their model portfolio objectives, idea generation and implementation 
• Oversee model management and performance reporting
• Work with RM’s to manage client portfolios based on client objectives, model, legacy positions and capital gains, including developing plans to address legacy positions and to advance accounts towards Spinnaker model holdings 
• Manage trading for client accounts (day-to-day), dollar cost averaging programs, rebalance proposals, legacy stock management
