Kennedy Lenart Spraggins (KLS) is seeking a talented Patent Paralegal to join our dynamic team.

This position is fully remote.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Administer and docket matters through all stages of the patent process.
• Organize and review patent files with meticulous attention to detail.
• Monitor and track docket deadlines effectively.
• Prepare a variety of documents, including Assignments, Oath & Declarations, responses to Office Actions, Issue Fee Transmittals, and Information Disclosure Statements.
• Collaborate closely with clients, attorneys, and fellow paralegals to ensure smooth workflow and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Proficiency with electronic docketing systems, preferably AppColl, IP Folio, Anaqua, Maxval Symphony, or similar platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
• Thorough understanding of USPTO, PCT, and foreign patent filing and prosecution requirements.
• Familiarity with patent docket management and deadlines.
• Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Visio, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Expertise with the USPTO Patent Center and E-PCT platforms.

Supervisory Responsibility

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
