This allows our professionals to challenge themselves while gaining valuable engineering and project management experience on fascinating projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Water Resource Engineer to join our Brisbane based engineering team. There is also potential for this role to be located in Perth, Newcastle or Hobart. You will have the opportunity to work on large-scale world-class projects both in Australia and internationally. What we offer in addition to an exciting technical role:Competitive remuneration including 2.5% Additional superannuation and Income Protection InsuranceTraining and development opportunitiesPaid parental and volunteer leaveFlexible working arrangementsNovated leasingAdditional incentives may be available dependent on performance of the company, business unit and individual.This role will give you the opportunity to:Undertake hydrological assessments using Australian and Rainfall and Runoff 2019 using your knowledge of relevant industry standard software for hydrologic (RORB, WBNM, URBS, XPRAFTs etc.).Conduct 2D hydraulic modelling to support the characterisation of flood risk and the design of surface water management systems using HECRAS or TUFLOW.Perform dam breach and runout assessments to industry leading standards.Undertake water balance modelling for mine water management systems using GoldSim.Develop engineering solutions for a broad range of projects including tailings storage facilities, water dams, levees, diversions, roads, water/sediment dams, etc. from concept though to detailed design.Prepare and technically review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimates.Undertake project management and client management duties for projects assigned to, or won by you, and complete report writing and presentation needs as projects require.Work with and coach junior staff to support the development of their engineering skills.Build and maintain strong client relationships and work continually to develop business.Work in a wonderful small company culture.Travel within Australia and internationally to various field locations.If you are registered, or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ), have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in engineering consulting, we want to hear from you!
