Description

Klein and Hoffman, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with strong technical, project management and business skills. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and management. Qualified candidates will possess proven skills and demonstrated experience for the following:

1. Responsibility for project administration, budget and schedule management, and client interface on assigned projects.
2. Supervisory capacity to provide technical guidance and oversight to a project team regarding staffing, project approach, project objectives, technical issues, constructability review, quality control procedures, and project delivery.
3. Involvement in marketing prospective work opportunities, preparing technical and fee proposals, and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
4. Strong client relationship building and management skills and working cooperatively with owners, clients, and design professionals.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Proficiency in staff mentoring and training.
7. Business acumen and interest to advance into corporate management and firm leadership.
8. Strong marketing and business development skills.

The position will require relevant experience in project management, structural analysis, and design, detailing and preparation of construction documents for new and existing structures, condition assessment and report preparation, and engineering staff supervision and mentoring. Proficiency in design of reinforced concrete, timber, steel, and masonry structures and repair procedures and techniques is required, as is familiarity with relevant building IBC, ACI and AISC codes and standards.
