The Klamath County School District is seeking a Permanent Substitute Teacher. As an integral part of school staff, the Permanent Substitute is used for both short and long term classroom teaching assignments. The Permanent Substitute Teacher is required to report to their assigned school building every school day but may also be asked to report to other school buildings within the district as needed.

Substitute Teachers perform a variety of duties in assisting a licensed teacher in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and leads planned activities designated by a licensed teacher. Helps maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.

This is a temporary position for the 2021-2022 school year, but could lead to regular employment in the District.

Requirements: Substitute Teachers must possess a valid Oregon Teaching or Substitute Teaching License. Licensing is completed via the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and must be obtained before one is qualified to work as a Substitute Teacher.
