KLA has an opportunity for a Director of Engineering & Program Management position to lead development in the RAPID business segment. The individual will play a key role in Program Management and lead engineering solutions.
Primary responsibilities:
*Lead development execution (performance, cost, schedule, etc.)
*Lead program initiatives as part of Product Lifecycle Cycle (PLC)
*Mentor your team and internal collaborators,, nurture talent, increase job satisfaction and guide team to perform as an elite R&D team.
*Develop personnel and the next generation of leaders
*Support annual strategic planning process to drive business direction
*Lead key supplier in developing and delivering critical subassemblies
*Apply systems engineering principles to the platform subsystem development to ensure a cohesive design approach
*Coordinate and employ usage of the KLA dfX (Design for Excellence) process, ensuring that design requirements are fully formed, and that the designs are well reviewed at each phase of their development
*Drive customer success by delivering solutions that result in a phenomenal outcomes for customer and programs
*Project plan development including schedules and budgets
*Travel - 20%
Preferred qualifications
*Proven record with >10 years of demonstrated ability in technology development
*Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams (Software and Hardware)
*Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical design techniques
*Experience working with demanding position control system
* Proven track record in leading cross-functional engineering teams through product development and market introduction
*Customer facing experience to support delivering engineering solutions
*Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications
*Doctorate (Academic) with at least 10 years of experience OR
*Master's Level Degree with at least 13 years of experience OR
*Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 15 years of experience
