Research and Development Chemist

Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D projects independently, from inception to completion, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced techniques like Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize formulation concepts efficiently.
  • Generate developmental samples, particularly oils, for R&D initiatives and conduct comprehensive testing.
  • Coordinate with cross functional areas including quality, compliance, production and sales to understand project objectives and carry product development from bench to scale up and commercial launch.
  • Support global team(s) and Sales area with product review(s), testing, and reporting of results
  • Support efforts in continuous improvement within laboratory area(s) and optimize efficiency in workflow(s)

Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Masters or PhD preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in an R&D environment
  • Experience in formulating lubricants preferred
