KJ MEDIA is Hiring an Assistant Safety Director for Trucking Company. Near Edison, NJ

Trans American Trucking Service is hiring an Assistant Safety Director! Starting salary is $65,000.

This position is a full time role, on-site in the South Plainfield location.

You will work closely with the Safety Director to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies that comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The Assistant Safety Director will also lead and mentor team members on safe work practices and manage safety related training programs.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in a safety leadership role
Experience in transportation safety, preferably in trucking
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience with safety inspection procedures and conducting root cause analysis
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
