The position

Kizik is looking for a lifestyle and product photographer! The successful candidate will learn the Kizik brand (it’s pretty fun), and infuse that into a wide range of projects: new colorway releases, product launches, behind-the-scenes content, showcasing our different use cases (ie: travel, busy parents, needs-based, kids, etc.), working alongside the video team, and more.
We’re looking for someone who can create high-quality, original content, collaborate with larger teams, and keep the Kizik brand consistent across all content. This full-time, on-site position reports to the art director.

Responsibilities

  • Find appropriate locations for off-site shoots
  • Schedule appropriate models for shoots
  • Take photos of product/models in studio, on location, or during video shoots
  • Edit photos for correct color and lighting
  • Prepare the studio for photoshoots by setting up necessary lights and equipment
  • Work with studio manager to maintain studio space by organizing equipment, props, and product inventory
  • Prepare props needed for photoshoots
  • Shoot and edit product images for website (including cut-outs)
  • Review sets of photographs and submit selects
  • Recommend creative concepts for project briefs

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom/CaptureOne
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in photography is preferred
  • Portfolio of work
  • Strong compositional skills
  • In-depth knowledge of photography and studio lighting
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to travel to photoshoot locations
  • Able to stand and move around for long periods at a time
  • Able to execute on art direction and match brand look and feel
  • Bonus: has experience shooting footwear
