Vocational Specialist – FACT Team – Full-timeHiring Range: $24.94 - $30.55 per hour

Additional $2.00 per hour worked differential

Be part of our dedicated FACT team at KMHS, providing time-limited services to clients most impacted by symptoms of mental health disorders. Join us as a Vocational Specialist Care Coordinator, where you'll work collaboratively to provide vocational-supportive counseling to help clients achieve their vocational and educational goals. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives and provide essential support on their journey to recovery.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and provide work-related supportive services, including symptom management, grooming assistance, transportation, and job site support.
  • Offer ongoing support for job retention and educational programs while assisting clients in managing symptoms.
  • Provide onsite job coaching and hands-on assistance in navigating educational resources for long-term stability.
  • Engage and motivate clients to explore interests and aptitudes, completing interest inventories or assessments.
  • Document client progress, demonstrating relevance of vocational/educational support to treatment goals.
  • Participate in staff meetings, treatment planning review meetings, and crisis intervention as directed.
  • Assist clients in building skills for independent living and reducing substance use through a harm reduction approach.
  • Coordinate with team members, Mobile Crisis Outreach, and law enforcement officials when necessary.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE:Entry level (no prior related work experience)

This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.

LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.

Preferred Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE:Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Experience providing vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, or workforce re-entry services to individuals experiencing mental health disorders.
