Kitsap Mental Health Service is Hiring an ARNP Youth Inpatient Unit Near Bremerton, WA

Job Title: ARNP Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner – Full Time

Salary Range: $129,272 - $164,840 per year

$10,000 sign-on bonus

Relocation bonus available for applicable candidates

Join our team as a Psychiatric ARNP and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. As a valued member of our team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, collaborate with treatment teams, and contribute to the development of holistic treatment plans. Utilize your clinical expertise to manage patient care, including medication and non-medication management, across diverse settings, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Primary Responsibilities: The Youth Inpatient ARNP performs comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develops treatment plans using the bio/psychosocial model, and provide clinical leadership for a 10-bed adolescent psychiatric care unit. Collaborates with the treatment team, manage patient medication, and ensure timely medical documentation.

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for new, returning, and transferring patients, documenting encounters collaboratively with patients.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, providing both medication and non-medication management based on individual needs.
  • Deliver care in various settings, including in-person and via telehealth, based on medical appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with team leaders, contribute to care planning, prioritize goals, and assess progress within the treatment teams.
  • Participate in utilization management/review and adhere to coding guidelines for accurate clinical services documentation.
  • Educate teams on medication management, safety, and side-effect monitoring.
  • Coordinate clinical decisions with medical providers and collaborating partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation, maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient records.
  • Provide cross-coverage for other units and services when needed, as determined by the Medical Director.
  • Participate in on-call coverage rotations for 24-hour programs, offering support during evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Share your expertise by participating in precepting and education for medical residents, psychiatric ARNPs, and DNPs.
  • Deliver educational presentations, lectures, and in-services to the team.
  • Engage in administrative activities, including Medical Services Team meetings and quality assurance efforts.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Nursing or MD
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years related experience
  • LICENSURE: ARNP- RN/ARNP active license in Washington. Board-certified PMHNP. Active and unencumbered DEA license in WA State.
