As a Hygiene Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the hygienist during various dental procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office, and providing exceptional patient care. Your skills in Dentrix will be essential for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and facilitating efficient workflows. Additionally, your knowledge of CAMBRA protocols will contribute to patient education and care.
Your duties will involve assisting the hygienist during treatments, polishing/flossing, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, assisting with perio charting and chart notes, stocking and ordering supplies, preparing lab cases/lab slips, providing post-operative instructions to patients, and educating them on proper oral hygiene practices. Your attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations will ensure accurate documentation of patient records.
Experience working with patients of all ages is highly desirable as it demonstrates your ability to create a comfortable and positive environment for all patients. Your familiarity with dental coding processes will also contribute to efficient billing procedures for front office team.

Duties:
- Assist the hygienist during a variety of treatment procedures with polishing/flossing/perio charting, etc
- Set up and breakdown treatment rooms
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays and CBCTs
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Skills:
- Proficiency in Dentrix dental software systems
- Stocking and ordering supplies

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
