Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant - Escort guests to their tables and provide menus - Assist guests with seating arrangements and special requests - Manage the waitlist and ensure accurate seating rotation - Answer phone calls and take reservations - Provide accurate wait time estimates to guests - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station - Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations Skills: - Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred - Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations - Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with ease - Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting with guests - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
