Position Summary

As an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the precision-driven world of electronics manufacturing. Your responsibilities encompass a range of critical tasks, from machine set-up to meticulous PCB (Printed Circuit Board) inspection, ensuring the smooth operation of the SMT assembly line. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality electronic components.

As an SMT Operator, you will report to the Production Manager.

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm

Pay: Up to $18/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Machine set-up to job specs
  • Operating SMT machines
  • Set up of SMT assembly line
  • PCB inspection
  • Monitoring and maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Use of calipers and micrometers subassembly and use of blueprints and drawings

Required Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in SMT.
  • Experience with Juki, Mirtec (AOI) and MPM machines or other SMT Pick and Place
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with electronic component identification.
  • Ability to follow the production schedule, and all production and safety procedures.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop floor paperwork.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Desired Experience:

  • SMT rework soldering
  • SMT programing
  • SMT Equipment troubleshooting
  • IPC-610 certification
