Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, specifically excavators, to complete assigned tasks
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthwork projects
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow project plans and specifications to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations on the job site
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience, including the ability to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment, such as loaders, water trucks, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques for underground utility installations
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address equipment issues on-site
