Field Hydraulic Hose Technician Position Purpose

This position is responsible removing and replacing worn or ruptured hydraulic hoses and refilling the hydraulic reservoir as needed.

Field Hydraulic Hose Technician Essential Functions

• Responsible for the fabrication and or replacement of hydraulic hoses
• Responsible for fabricating new hoses as it relates to the instillation of new attachments and ensuring of the proper routing of the hoses
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, professional, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for the work performed
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned/required
• Maintain paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis
• Learning and understanding the various thread types as well as the wide array of hoses used in the different pressure, media, and ambient environments
• Maintaining a useful/smart inventory on the truck
• Keeping the truck, as well as yourself, organized, clean, and properly maintained

Field Hydraulic Hose Technician Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of relative experience
• Proven track record of success
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills

Field Hydraulic Hose Technician Physical Requirements:

• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
• Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and/or wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shop
• Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday
• Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
