Summary First Presbyterian's SPARK program is looking for Assistant Teachers for immediate hire. This position will be full time from 5/20-8/2. GENERAL SUMMARY The SPARK program is a state-licensed, 5-star, school-age childcare program serving families in the OKC metro. The SPARK Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of care for children enrolled in the program. The Director is accountable for all aspects of the program planning, staffing, implementation, and oversite. In addition, the Director is responsible for payroll of program staff, student tuition billing, collections, and maintaining subsidy contracts with the state of Oklahoma and tribal nations. The SPARK staff is comprised of a full-time director and assistant director, seven part-time program staff, and volunteer tutors. The Director works in relationship with the SPARK Board. Duties ·Promotes learning opportunities that provide for growth, fun, and development of social skills; ·Keeps program rooms in order before and following activities; ·Assists in serving and cleaning up after snacks and/or lunch; ·Participates in teaching students and in activities of students; ·Assists in getting supplies and equipment ready for children's activities; ·Occasionally runs commercial dishwasher, with supervision; ·Helps with clean-up chores following end of day's activities; ·Participates in all activities for SPARK children; ·Performs any other duties the Director may require for the benefit of SPARKPrograms; ·Plans particular activities agreed upon with Director; Requirements Must be 18 Must have HS Diploma or GED Must have or obtain CPR Certification
