JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of all available products, through the response, investigation, reporting and resolution. The quality inspector will respond to reports of quality issues for each KIOTI distribution location (NC, TX and Canada). This position will report directly to the Quality Coordinator.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

  • Respond to and investigate quality issues from the following sources:
    • NC, TX and Canada distribution locations
    • Dealer network via shortage and damage claims
    • Reported issues from Assembly departments
    • Parts shortage, fitment, and manufacturing issues
    • Warehouse and shipping issues
  • Properly investigate and document issues in report format with clear and concise communication, including photo documentation and diagrams when required.
  • Maintain quality report database.
  • Monitor ongoing reports and expedite resolution.
  • Repair, service or repackage equipment and accessories as needed for product resolution.
  • Execute campaign service as required by service bulletin/advisory.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of quality audits for each location.
  • Provide assistance to the Assembly Inspector as needed.
  • Improve and expand on the current system of reporting.
  • Other assignments as directed by the Quality Supervisor and Product Support management.

EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • College or High School Degree (or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years of quality related experience within a manufacturing, automotive or high-volume distribution environment
  • Mechanical experience in the automotive or agricultural field is a plus
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to grasp complex procedures and inspection methods
  • Self-Starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. if required
  • Able to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per day
  • Basic computer Knowledge and experience with the following computer applications: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Solomon, CRM, Microsoft publisher and other applications are a plus
  • U.S. Passport may be required for travel
