SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a driven and experienced Quality Control Manager for our growing team. Based in Kinsley’s office located in Timonium, MD, the Quality Control Manager will primarily work on projects in the mid-Atlantic region. The Quality Control Manager reports to the Vice President and to the Director of Quality Control. Primary responsibilities include a proactive approach to monitoring compliance to quality control procedures and driving a culture of quality work throughout Kinsley.

A successful candidate should possess an Engineering or Construction Management degree or background along with applicable field experience, strong computer skills, good communication skills and a willingness to learn. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Serve as resource and advocate to project teams in the area of quality improvement and control
• Develop positive working relationships with field leaders and personnel, as well as project management teams
• Monitor compliance of project teams to the Kinsley Quality Control Manual (QCM). Assists in creating and implementing project specific quality control plans as necessary
• Visit project sites on a regular basis performing quality audits, surveillance reports, and documentation of work activities and material through the use of field & task management software for compliance with the project plans and specifications
• Inform project team of any deficiencies identified during audit and perform follow-up inspections
• Assist in development of, and monitor compliance to, remediation plans for projects
• Make recommendations to project teams for possible preventative action they should implement
• Refer problem areas, actions or behavior to Vice President and to Director of Quality Control
• Attend pre-task meetings for critical tasks and ensure compliance to the QCM
• Gather and organize project-specific lessons learned to ensure continual improvement throughout the organization
• Review data collected on rework and warranty call backs to identify any trends or specific problem areas
• Provide Quality Control information as part of project proposal process; deliver Quality Control strategies and tactics during client presentations/interviews
• Further responsibilities to be determined based upon project-specific needs and Quality Control plans

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior field experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel when required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully work with upper management, field personnel, and project teams
