Shift Supervisor/Plant Superintendent ajc
Would like someone who has GEMBA, Kaizen, KPI, process improvement.Someone with a strong safety background would also be ideal. Desire a manufacturing background, previous stamping experience is ideal, but at least working with metals would be preferred. Pay $80k - $90, depending on background and experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Responsible for execution of daily production goals to meet customer requirements.
•Provide direct supervision and training to production workers.
•Follow, train and enforce all safety rules and regulations. Review work areas for safety compliance and safe work conditions and conduct accident investigations.
•Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures related to day-to-day operations.
•Ensure that employees understand expectations regarding safety, productivity, quality, and attendance.
•Assign employees to their daily tasks and work with them as needed.
•Monitor production in ERP system to make sure employees are recording their time and piece counts correctly.
•Responsible for meeting productivity standards throughout the shift.
•Responsible for keeping track of employee's attendance. Call ins, vacation, etc.
•Inspect product to verify production specifications are met.
•Responsible for general housekeeping of the production areas.
•Address employee issues or grievances while adhering to the collective bargaining agreement. Investigate employee disputes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•3-5 yrs. relevant experience in manufacturing environment
•High School diploma/GED required, Associate degree in Business Management preferred
•Based on production needs work minimum 50 hrs. a week
•Experience in metal stamping preferred
•Union environment experience desired
•Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
•Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude with attention to detail
•Strong computer skills including MS Office, ERP operating system preferably PLEX
