Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders as well as providing accounting administrative support for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Process weekly payroll for all employees accurately and timely

- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements

- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters

- Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports as needed

- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accuracy of payroll records

- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes

- Assist in all aspects of construction accounting, including AR and AP.

- Special Projects assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

- Bilingual (Spanish) *Required*

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field

- Proficiency in payroll/accounting software and Microsoft Excel

- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
