About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Global Medical Safety to provide medical oversight for the global drug safety and pharmacovigilance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading global clinical, medical, and scientific safety activities across the product lifecycle, from Phase I to post-marketing. This includes leading product safety surveillance, signaling activities, and being the senior strategic leader for the drug safety program. The role involves building and managing a high-growth global medical safety team, providing strategic consultation for safety sections of regulatory documents, and ensuring the company's compliance with relevant SOPs and processes. The VP will also be expected to have a hands-on approach, collaborating cross-functionally, and effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.Applicants must have an MD, MD PhD, or MD MPH, with a minimum of 15 years' experience as the Head of Drug Safety or a related role in a bio-pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical company. Direct knowledge and experience with major regulatory filings and a background in entrepreneurial, small/high-growth company biologics or rare disease experience is preferred. The role requires outstanding communication and presentation skills, the ability to work with senior executive teams and external audiences, and a proven track record of building and growing teams. Experience in mentoring staff, establishing and maintaining alliance relationships, and managing all aspects of post-marketing product safety in multiple territories is essential.
