Job Summary:

Provide Dri-Design project quotations for Regional Sales Managers (RSM's) (& their customers) from supplied project documents and/or material lists. In addition, the estimating department is responsible to provide both budgetary and firm price quotes within customer's time frames.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate pricing for various panel / product types in a timely manner.
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs when provided with sufficient project documents.
  • Develop accurate, detailed, descriptive materials quotations / estimates.
  • Coordinate quoting efforts and strategies with Regional Sales Mangers as required.
  • Provide information to the Sales Department, Project Management Department and Drafting Department when a project is booked & participate in Project Expectation Meetings as required to communicate project knowledge used in the winning quote.
  • Cross reference/note details and conditions shown within project documents with Dri-Design standards.
  • Maintain organized quotation logs and files so they may be accessed quickly for reference.
  • Provide information to Finance and assist with sales forecasting.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Technical architectural/engineering degree or 3 to 5 years applicable industry experience.
  • 1-3 years estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • BLUEBEAM experience a must.
  • Experience with metal panel construction or building envelope a plus.
  • AutoCad experience is a plus.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to understand and interpret project specifications, addendums, special provisions and all other applicable project documents.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent organizational and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
