Description:

Kingsley Montessori School is seeking Spanish Language private lesson teachers for the 2023-24 academic year. We are currently hiring for the following instruments/subjects:

The candidate will be comfortable working with students Age 4 through Grade 6 in a private lesson setting. This position offers hourly pay of $60 per teaching hour, and the hours vary Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00pm, based upon enrollment and teacher availability. Lesson teachers will give one-on-one weekly lessons to each of their scheduled students. 

Lesson teachers are expected to engage our students with a holistic approach to music education; emphasizing importance upon incorporating a thorough approach to teaching sight reading, music theory, composition, ear training, aural analysis, and best practices when working with young children. Students will be encouraged to perform in recitals that take place throughout the year and will learn to take ownership of their own practice.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree or higher
• Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development
• Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
• Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
