Kings View Corporation is Hiring a Transportation supervisor Near Atwater, OH

Kings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health services to the underserved community, is currently seeking a driven Recycling / Transportation Supervisor to join our mission to provide compassionate services to those with limited resources.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion to promote social justice and societal awareness, respect for human dignity, and lead with integrity while listening and responding to the community in need.

Will oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring efficient and safe transportation services for clients. This role involves managing route scheduling, scheduling vehicle maintenance, driver training and coaching, and budget management.

The Recycling / Transportation Supervisor is accountable for supervising the Recycling center daily operations, implementing, and overseeing all community service program and recycling program procedures and regulations mandated by the state of California's Department of Conservation Beverage Container Recycling program, also Known as CALRecycle.

How will I contribute Maintain all records needed within the transportation department, to include 14C applications and reporting as well as records needed for various audit, inspections, and monitoring of operations and services.

Schedule any needed repairs with vendors and ensure completion is done timely and within budget. Collaborate with the DMV to ensure vehicle registrations are current including but not limited to renewals and smogs.

Verify all drivers are appropriately trained, licensed and medical cleared as required by the DMV, CHP, and all other related agencies, provide training and schedule medical clearance appointments as needed.

Assist with audits including but not limited to CHP, Environmental Health, San Joaquin Valley Air Resources, and any other agencies as required.

Order and inventory all needed PPE supplies for transportation and Recycling department and well as all needed vehicles supplies included but not limited to : fluids needed when doing a pre-trip inspection and safety equipment including but not limited to seat belt cutters, window breakers, first aid kits, Hazards waste spill kits, and fire extinguishers.

Develop and manage efficient route schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation services for students. Oversee all Recycling Center procedures and regulations mandated by the state of Californias Department of Conservation Beverage Container Recycling Program (CALrecycle).

Supervise all Recycling Center staff, completing monthly 1 : 1 and yearly evaluations. Ensure Recycling Center compliance with all operational requirements as regulated by the state of California for efficient operation on a daily basis to avoid any fines, suspensions, or decertification penalties.

Organize Recycling Programs with local school districts and businesses, and coordinate pick-up schedules. Manage budget and complete banking transactions receive and disperse cash with the accounting department.

Complete weekly and monthly replenishment requests and reporting. Deposit and cash checks and secure petty cash in safe with corresponding records and reports.

Process invoices and make necessary and timely purchases of supplies. Analyze transportation data, performance metrics, and operational reports to identify trends, evaluate efficiencies, and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.

Identify and resolve transportation issues and challenges, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route discrepancies, to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.

Maintain all needed fire extinguisher certifications by conducting and documenting monthly and yearly inspections of all fire extinguishers in vehicles and within the facility.

Promote a culture of safety within the transportation team by enforcing safety protocols, conducting training programs, and implementing measures to prevent and respond appropriately to accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage.

Actively participate in leadership team meetings / committee, strategic planning sessions, and other relevant forums to discuss organizational goals, priorities, and initiatives.

Contribute ideas, insights, and feedback to inform strategic decision-making and help shape the direction and priorities of the organization.

Serve as a liaison between the leadership team and other departments or stakeholders, communicating updates, soliciting feedback, and fostering engagement and support for WEC initiatives.

What I bring High School Diploma (or Equivalent) Class C Driving License Must be 21 years of age. 2 years previous work experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field;

to include leadership experience CPR & First Aid Certified. DORIIS, CALrecycle laws and regulations, ability to recognize CRV materials, fleet and dispatch knowledge.

Strong knowledge of route scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and driver training. Prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining service levels.

Lead and motivate a team of drivers, transportation personnel, and recycling center staff to ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and performance standards.

Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide assistance promptly and courteously.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Capacity to build rapport and establish positive relationships with diverse clientele, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.

Integrity and honesty in handling cash and financial transactions. Commitment to providing exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations, with a focus on building long-term loyalty and retention.

Preferred Skills / Experience : Class B CA Drivers License. Forklift train the trainer operator Certification. CALrecycle voucher certified.

Previous experience in recycling management, transportation coordination, or related field, preferably in a non-profit setting.
