Redding, CA

The Regional Director is a direct report to the Kings View Behavioral Health Services Executive Director. The position carries responsibility for the clinical and administrative performance of the programs in the geographic area assigned to the position. In addition, the position carries primary responsibility for customer relations and market development in the assigned region.

The Regional Director will work to extend our global reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build million-dollar contracts that help make everyday access to behavioral health care easier for people throughout California. Highly skilled at relationship-building, networking, new business cultivation, and business operations, this person will work to achieve our company's growth vision.

How will I contribute

  • Assist the Chief Operations Officer in program oversight, including budgeting, performance management, and general operational duties for all regions.
  • Attends executive and committee meetings on behalf of the Chief Operations Officer when necessary.
  • Possesses full delegated authority to serve as Acting Chief Operations Officer in the absence of Chief Operations Officer.
  • Ensures the clinical quality of the region's programs through direct supervision of the programs and directors of the programs providing services, ensuring the clinical services meet or exceed Kings View, county, state, and federal standards.
  • Provide clinical support to programs requiring licensed oversight
  • Ensures the program and region's administrative functions meet or exceed Kings Views, county, state, and federal standards, as applicable.
  • Develops the systems and processes to ensure contract deliverables are met or exceeded, including outcome measurement reports required by the contract(s) or Kings View.
  • Leads the development of the programs in the region.
  • Ensures wellness and recovery model is in the DNA of services delivered.
  • Serves as the lead individual responsible for resolving clinical and management concerns that may arise from time to time.
  • Carries primary responsibility in coordination with the assigned Executive Director and/or corporate staff to meet budget targets and ensure expenditures are consistent with contractual terms.
  • Build, and maintain relationships with the assigned region's key stakeholders, ensuring excellence in communicating program activities and direction.
  • Leads the region in the development of new opportunities for services consistent with the focus of Kings View's mission and vision.
  • Provides clinical services, when needed, to fill staffing gaps due to vacation or other leaves.
  • Oversees or directly recruits, hires, and trains staff needed to provide the services in the region.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Developing new business opportunities and helping launch resulting new business operations.
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and emerging behavioral health client needs, building a short/medium/long-term new business trajectory in accordance with targets
  • Develop strategies by analyzing new venture integration
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies
  • Track new business generation and report metrics
  • Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and client drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss emerging needs and shifting markets
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
  • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select those consistent with established company strategic plan, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
  • Work with appropriate Kings View staff to establish per unit costs and other contract parameters in responding to requests for proposals
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
  • Works closely with the managed care department to assure that development and managed care activities are consistent and complementary.

    What I bring

    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Public Health, or related field
    • Five years experience leading Behavioral Health Management in a complex organizational and market environment, with 50 or more staff across multiple locations. Experience creating highly effective relationships with stakeholders and community organizations.

    • Demonstrated ability to see the opportunities and develop new services.
    • Strong work ethic and practice of One Team leadership style as well as an ability to drive healthy staff accountability to each other and their respective job duties.
    • Ability to establish rapport quickly and communicate clearly.
    • Preferred MSW, PhD, PsyD or Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
    • Preferred Current license as a LCSW/LMFT in the State of CA
