King George Elementary School is Hiring a 24-25 SES Cafeteria Worker (6 hr) Near King George, VA

Position open until filled.General DescriptionWorks under the general supervision of the cafeteria manager in performing a variety of duties in the kitchen and service areas to prepare well balances, nutrious meals for students and staff.
Education, Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years experence in large quantity cookery.
  • Certificate from the Health Department permitting candidate to handle food.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with cafeteria staff.
Essential Job Functions
  • Food preparation.
  • Food handling from preparation to serving.
  • Collect money and/or meal tickets.
  • Cleaning of equipment, utensils and designated areas.
  • Receiving and storage of food supplies.
  • Regular on time attendance.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the manager.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, materials, and/or controls: reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop and kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
