KING ESTATE WINERY is Hiring a Northeast Regional Sales Manager 2023 Near Eugene, OR

King Estate Winery is currently seeking a Northeast Regional Sales Manager. They will work with key
distributor personnel, buyers and consumers to ensure King Estate’s goals and profit objectives for the
region are achieved. The Northeast Regional Manager is expected to travel frequently to interact with
distributors, buyers and consumers in the region. The most critical component of this position is
business and relationship management. The Northeast Territory is comprised of New York, New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, Delaware, West Virginia, New Hampshire,
Vermont, and Maine.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct annual planning and goal-setting meetings for each state in the region within the
months of December-February.
  • Conduct mid-year review for each market within the months of June-July.
  • Weekly regional sales call with NSM and winery management every Monday.
  • Send monthly performance review email to each state’s distributor management.
  • Responsible for achieving annual case goals as well as profit objectives.
  • Monitor distributor inventory, depletions, program performance and progress to month/annual
goal for each state in the region, weekly.
  • Manage pricing and discounting in each state to the guidelines set by King Estate.
  • Be regularly visible to and actively engaged with each state’s distributor personnel; take
advantage of in-person or virtual GSMs, events, etc.
  • Quarterly in-person market visits (or more as schedule allows)
  • Conduct retail tastings, education events and other methods of connecting with buyers and
consumers.
  • Understand and comply with the regulatory landscape and pricing laws of each market in the

region.
Qualifications:

  • Honesty, positivity.
  • Experience working for a distributor as well as experience working directly for a supplier.
  • Excellent wine knowledge, especially on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Oregon wine in general.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Be self-motived to manage your time and resources to achieve King Estate’s goals.
  • Candidate must be focused, goal oriented, and demonstrate a high level of integrity and
professionalism in their work relationships.
  • Requires strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet/Intranet
navigation).
  • Current valid driver license with clean record.
  • College Degree (preferred).
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Preferred base location for a home office would be in the NY, NJ, CT area (not mandatory).
