About the Role:
The Operations Section of King County’s Solid Waste Division is inviting applications for (7) Special Duty or Term Limited Temporary Utility Worker IIs. These positions provide general labor at the Landfills and Transfer Stations in King County. Employees in these positions perform skilled work by safely operating power and hand tools like slope grade control lasers, power drill, power driver, chain saw, weed eater, and walk-behind-mower to perform vegetation control and minor maintenance on equipment and facilities. This is not an entry level position.
About the Team:
To accomplish your work, you work in a team of a minimum of 2 to 3 people side by side. Daily you will be challenged by different locations, responsibilities, and work. Collaborating with Landfill Gas Operators and Wastewater Crew, while working with them pick up new skills and gain new knowledge, that can provide for advancement opportunities within Solid Waste.
