KVS is seeking to hire an experienced veterinary technicians/assistants who have an interest in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. We are establishing a collaborative team to improve the bond of our patients with their pet parents by improving their neurologic health. Our brand new state of the art 20,000 sq ft hospital is designed specifically for patients with mobility issues from the moment they walk through the door. Staff ergonomics with many veterinary nurses’ input have aided in a design to minimize staff fatigue. The hospital is equipped with the latest in technology and diagnostic imaging. The hospital also supports a minimally invasive surgery team, sports medicine and rehabilitation. You won’t find another hospital like this in this region of the country. Our veterinary practice is looking for a Veterinary Technician to perform a variety of tasks including preparing equipment for procedures, performing lab work and assisting doctors with surgeries. The right candidate should have relevant course work and expertise in biology and anatomy in addition to animal care experience. We're specifically looking for an individual with strong communication skills and the ability to give patients the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities:

· Basic animal handling/restraint

• IV catheter basics/set up

• Surgical prep

• Basic pharmacology, medical terminology, anatomy

• Excellent communication skills

• Time management

• Problem solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
