Athletic Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Working with and communicating with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals by evaluating the player's condition.
  • Educating coaches, family members, and athletes in prevention and recovery of athletic injuries
  • Designing training and rehabilitation programs for athletes and non-athletes.
  • Using knowledge of sports-related injuries to diagnose and treat athletes and non-athletes
  • Referring athletes to another doctor or other medical staff members.
  • Assisting and monitoring injured individuals as they heal and progress towards recovery.
  • Maintaining records relating to athlete condition and training, diet, and treatment plans.
  • Implement the use of recovery tools and modalities such as cryotherapy, compression therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and more.
  • Coordinate Athletic Combine Testing at Kinetic and in the community
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local partners to ensure the continued success and relevance of our athletic programs.
  • Handling clerical tasks, such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, or restocking supplies.

Athletic Trainer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training and a valid state license or certification.
  • Proven education and experience in rehab and recovery.
  • Emergency Cardiac Care and First Aid Certification
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • 1-2 years experience is preferred
