Kinetic Engine Systems is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Southwick, MA

Job Description:

The Ideal CNC Programmer will be part of a team of quality professionals in fast-paced company specializing in short run space and defense components.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerance, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in working with MasterCam required, knowledge of Solidworks software a plus
  • Ability to write and edit three, four, and five-axis programs for CNC Mill machines and write CNC Lathe programs.
  • Produce set up sheets and tooling sheets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Designs fixturing, including modeling and making drawings of necessary components
  • Assist machine operators, quality lead, and management in the troubleshooting of machining issues and offer advice on best machining practices
  • Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability and lot control
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle and follow instruction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience as a Programmer required
  • 5 years’ experience as a Machinist required

Working Conditions:

Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
