ROLE SUMMARY
As the Manager, Site Security, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting all physical, electronic, and procedural security processes and programs at the Kindeva locations in Greater St. Louis. The incumbent will ensure the Site is fully compliant with Site Minimum Security Requirements (SMSR), and regulatory requirements as they relate to the security of people, facilities, products, materials, and Company reputation. This position acts as the primary interface to local, regional, and State law enforcement agencies, including regional Homeland Security, Regional Intelligence Fusion Centers and other protective services. The Manager, Site Security is the primary and responsible administrator for security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, and incident reporting systems. The incumbent Conducts confidential investigations, interfacing with Site and Corporate Leadership on matters falling under the serious incident reporting guidelines. The incumbent will interface with plant customers on security needs and assessments. The position will take an active role in managing the security portions of capital projects.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily security operations for facilities and units operating within the KindevaDD St. Louis area.
Respond to requests for professional level security intervention in investigations, consultations, and decisions requiring more advanced technical security skills.
Review security reports and daily activity logs and conduct in-depth review of items which fall outside of the normal security routine.
Apply risk assessment and threat assessment tools, along with intelligence information, to provide a realistic and practical security posture.
Negotiates with Corporate Leadership on modifying/waiving SMSR items not compatible with known threats and risks.
Approve contracted security service staffing levels. Reviews and approves contractor invoices. Conducts quality reviews of contractor performance. (Note: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility for the guard force, but rather utilizes the force as part of an integrated security program).
Works with site managers, Human Resources professionals, and/or other Kindeva locations in the course of investigating code of conduct violations.
Prepare budget forecasts for security operational programs.
Provide education and awareness aimed at protecting KindevaDD information from compromise.
Coordinate with IT staff on automated equipment needs. Is the system owner and holds highest administration rights for all site security related automated systems.
Manages visitor control operations, including EAR compliance with personnel identity.
Review facility capital project requests (CPA) for security concerns, input, and consistency.
Coordinate with other site businesses to ensure asset and resource decisions are in the best interest of the Company. Conducts and documents an annual security risk assessment, in accordance with the SMSR.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in security management, political science, intelligence studies, geopolitical studies, or human resources administration.
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) credentials preferred. Ability and commitment to acquire such certifications required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Site Security Officer or Site Security Lead, preferably in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or medical product distribution fields.
A minimum of 5 years in a responsible charge leadership role.
Experience working with contracted resources to build an integrated security program.
Previous military or public law enforcement experience preferred.
Experience working with the Department of Defense, Food and Drug Administration, or Drug Enforcement Administration, in a civilian capacity, is preferred.
Ability to influence behaviors in others, using reason and effective, positive communication.
Verifiable experience in the conduct of sensitive investigations required.
Verifiable experience in conducting risk and threat assessments and in applying such information into practice.
Familiarity with standard security equipment, including card access and alarm systems, CCTV systems, and incident and reporting software programs.
Note: Position may require incumbent to acquire and maintain Government clearances in order to receive sensitive intelligence information. Inability to acquire and maintain such clearances would be a disqualifying factor.
