KinderCare Learning Centers is Hiring a Part-time Teacher Assistant Near Newark, NJ

Overview:

Join our team as a Teaching Assistant to support our educational programs and contribute to the growth and development of students in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote student engagement and learning.
- Support students with diverse needs, in their academic and social development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Collaborate with teachers to create and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom setting.
- Help students with behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions.
- Aid in preparing materials for lessons and activities, ensuring a smooth flow of the educational process.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members to provide updates on student progress.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a classroom or childcare environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Montessori or similar educational approaches is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with students who have special needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in assisting with lesson planning and implementing educational strategies.
- Prior experience in a private school setting is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.05 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
