Lead Infant Teacher

Kinder Village is structured for exploration and intergenerational interactions with elders living on Episcopal Homes' campus. Teachers at Kinder Village help provide an environment that furthers children's knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

Pay and Schedule:

Starting from $18.50 - $21hr, 10:00am -- 6pm Monday through Friday

You will fall in love with our small class sizes, low ratios, and our wonderful families.

As lead teacher it is your responsibility to:

  • Provide an environment that is warm, supporting, and comforting.
  • Feed and diaper babies according to the appropriate schedule
  • Engage in activities and play that stimulates their development.
  • Supervise teacher aides in the classroom and ensure they are following program policies and procedures throughout the day.
  • Plan daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for infant children

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

A Lead Infant Teacher must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Education options:
    1. associate degree- with 4,160 hours as assistant teacher
    2. child development certification- 1,560 hours as assistant teacher, aide, or student intern
    3. Bachelor's Degree- 1,040 hours as assistant teacher, aide, or student intern
  • Submit to various background checks including those completed through the DHS.
  • Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire
  • Be vaccinated for Covid-19
  • Complete a Tuberculosis test through Episcopal Homes
