Kimco is Hiring a Floor Tech Near Minneapolis, MN

Floor Tech

As a Floor Tech with Kimco Facility Services, you are a big part of our success. We deliver high quality janitorial services and need great employees to do that. You take pride in your work, are reliable, and are skilled with floorcare: floor & carpet maintenance, stripping & waxing, buffing & scrubbing, etc.

You'll be responsible for the cleanliness of customers' stores, office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, etc. whether our customer locations are open or closed. We have Full-time and Part-time positions. If you're looking for more than just a job and the ability to advance further, we encourage you to apply with us TODAY!

Pay rate: $20-22 per hour

Days & Times: 2nd shift w/ weekend availability

Total of 40 hours each week.

Valid driver license, clean driving record, criminal history check, and e-Verify required

Responsibilities:

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming

• Carpet cleaning, floor and carpet maintenance. Stripping and waxing floors. Floor buffing and scrubbing. Carpet and hard surface floor refinishing

• Ensure proper use of chemicals, supplies and equipment

• Trash removal, clean and stock breakrooms and restrooms

• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment

• Clean and polish windows and other surfaces

• Use timekeeping system to log hours worked each shift

• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors, etc. after operating hours

• Maintain safety procedures by using cleaning equipment/supplies according to company policy

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year (we'd love more!) of floor care experience is required.

• Floor Tech certification is a big plus.

• Must be able to operate various cleaning machines.

• Experience in Housekeeping, Janitorial services, Custodial, commercial cleaning industry is a plus.

• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, reach, and climb for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a continuous basis and occasionally up to 50 lbs. unassisted

• Team player with a positive outlook.
