Kimberbell Designs is an energetic and quickly growing machine embroidery company. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Product Management team.

About Us:
At Kimberbell, our passion is helping people experience the joy of creativity by providing superior machine embroidery experiences. Kimberbell was established in 2009 in beautiful Logan, Utah, located in the Cache Valley of Northern Utah. We produce machine embroidery designs, project materials, project books, subscription boxes, and events.

  • ¾-Time (30-37 hours/wk)
  • Full-Time (37-40 hours/wk)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the development of products, including embroidery designs, event kits, sourced materials, embellishments, tools, etc.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to Jr. Product Managers who are acting as Product Owners, taking ultimate responsibility for the product and ensuring that it represents Kimberbell in innovation, style and quality.
  • Ensures that products are profitable and sustainable for Kimberbell. Product profit margins must fall within prescribed company standards.
  • Is an expert on products, techniques, and trends in the Machine Embroidery industry. Stays up to date on competitors’ releases and programs.
  • Is always aware of customer needs and wants. Does research, conducts surveys, talks with shop owners and end consumers.
  • Coordinates with various departments (Product Development, Marketing/Creative, Operations, IT, Customer Relations) in the development of products.
  • Participates in brainstorming and collaborates with others on the Product Management team to develop products by (1) researching and following trend-driven themes and techniques and (2) studying and researching data both within the company and of our competitors
  • Represents our customer in creating products, ensuring that the customer experience exceeds expectations
  • Creates product Blueprints, SPEC sheets, and Briefs, and distributes to appropriate teams. Makes sure these documents are accurate and complete.
  • Keeps Product Development Backlog accurate and up to date, working consistently with PD Manager to identify priorities
  • Resolves product errors
  • Sets quality standards for product and shares with Operations team in receiving and assembling product
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Know or learn to efficiently use Asana, Google Sheets, Dropbox, Guru, NetSuite
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and execute verbal instructions from a supervisor
  • Detail-oriented and consistent
  • Works well as a productive member of a team
  • Communicates well with various teams, negotiating responsibilities, due dates, timelines, and expectations
  • Able to analyze and weigh choices, balancing the ideal with reality, in making decisions
  • Ability to negotiate
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to source new products

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Product Design or Industrial Design preferred.
  • Proven working experience as a Product Developer or in a related field.
  • Comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
