Previous teaching experience as well as ability to manage secondary (7 - 12) teaching faculty and able to manage student discipline and discipleship while connecting well with student parents. REPORTS TO: Head of School JOB GOAL: To provide administrative, supervisory, and instructional leadership necessary to maximize learning opportunities for all students and to ensure an orderly and productive environment Performance Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Organizes guidelines for proper student conduct and maintains student discipline
Establishes and maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline measure as necessary, according to the rights of the students
Endeavors to improve attendance within the framework of school policy
Facilitates and approves all school activities
Coordinates and evaluates the school's extra-curricular programs
Participates in special events held to recognize student achievement, and attends school sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events
Handles parent complaints and concerns in a timely manner
Communicates on a regular basis with parents
Communicates policy changes, new programs, and other revisions or modifications in the operating procedures as appropriate
Reports to the Head of School on the school's activities and problems on a regular basis
Improves personal competence by staying informed of the changes and development in the profession, attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field
Accepts the responsibility for the administration of the school entity and its safety
Designates responsible personnel to assume authority and responsibility for the school in absence of the principal
Assesses and advises all staff members regarding their individual and group performances
Coordinates appropriate orientation and development of staff members
Creates a culture of excellence, teamwork and collaboration amongst the staff, teachers, students, and families
