Key Responsibilities:

Effective Management

• Creates an environment where collaboration and creative problem solving thrive
• Stays current on best practices in the integration of technology with the curriculum.
• Advocates for the school library program to include communication to stakeholders
• Works with teachers and administrators to build and strengthen connections between student information and research needs, curricular content, learning outcomes, and information resources
• Assists students in becoming critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information
• Develops the school library program vision and mission and implements measurable goals and objectives
• Arranges for flexible scheduling of the school library media center to provide student access to staff and resources at the point of need
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head of School

Personal and Professional Growth

• Participate in all school-sponsored professional development programs
• Reflect on teaching practices and seeking appropriate help and support from the leadership team and colleagues

Other

• Attend designated school functions outside of school hours
• Attend and participate in all staff, committee, and grade level meetings
